SIA course
The Sia Security course is for 5 Sundays for week time workers.
Invictus training centre can do week time course’s of 5 days Monday to Friday for those who want to do the Sia Security course quicker.
Start time for Sia course 10 am Finish 5 pm with half-hour lunch
There will be a pre-course meeting to go over the course and fill in contact details and any medical issues you might have- You must be over 18yrs old with no criminal convictions in the last 6 years.
You will receive a coursebook at the meeting.
There’s a £100.00 Deposit which will secure your place on Sia Security course.
Price of Sia security course is £250.00 Minus £100 Deposit-£150.00 Left to pay on the first day of Sia security course.
The 1st day of the Sia security course you must bring-2 ID proof which is
Passport pictures of yourself. x 2
ID must be an up to date Passport. Drive licence. Birth certificate
Proof of Address….must bring. Gas bill, bank statement.council tax statement.

FULL COURSE DESCRIPTION:
The law states anyone wishing to sell or authorise the sale of alcohol must hold a ‘Personal Licence’ which is issued by their local authority. It is a requirement that anyone requiring this must have gained an Award for Personal Licence Holders qualification (APLH) before applying to sell alcohol. Put simply, the candidate must pass the APLH course before applying for their Personal Licence.
What does the course consist of?
The responsible retail sale of alcohol
The role and legal responsibilities of the personal licence holder and the penalties relating to failure to comply with the law
The roles, responsibilities and functions of licensing authorities within the framework of the licensing objectives
Unauthorised and temporary licensable activities
The application process for a personal licence
Rights of entry to licensed premises
Police powers with regard to suspension and closure of licensed premises
The specific prohibitions for the sale of alcohol
The strengths of alcoholic drinks and the effects of alcohol on the human body
The protection of children from harm
The premises licence
The content and purpose of operating schedules
The role and duties of the designated premises supervisor
APLH Level 2 Award Assessment Method
The personal licence training course examination is in the form of a multiple-choice exam with 40 questions, 28 of which must be answered correctly to pass.
What will I receive after the course?
Learners who pass the Level 2 Award for Personal Licence Holders (APLH) will receive a certificate through our awarding body, Highfield Qualifications.
What Is The Security Training Course?
The SIA approved Level 2 Award in Door Supervision course will allow you to work both as a Licensed Security Guard and Door Supervisor in a licensed venue.
The course takes 4 days and is broken down into 4 modules:
Unit 1: Working in The Private Security Industry
- Private Security industry: The legal aspect
- Health and Safety for private Security operatives
- Fire Safety awareness
- Emergency procedures
- Communication Skills and Customer Care
Unit 2: Working as a Door Supervisor
- Behavioural Standards
- Civil and Criminal law
- Searching
- Arrest
- Drugs awareness
- Recording incidents and Crime Scene preservation
- Licensing law
- Emergency procedures
Unit 3: Conflict Management for The Private Security Industry
- Avoiding Conflict and reducing personal risk
- Defusing Conflicts
- Resolving and learning from Conflicts
- Application of Communication Skills and Conflict Management for Door Supervisors
Unit 4: Physical Intervention Skills for The Private Security Industry
- Introduction to physical intervention Skills
- Must-know legislations on the final day of the course, there will be three multiple choice exams and a practical assessment.

Courses start from £250.00 – This price includes your exam fee, which means there are no hidden costs when booking with Invictus training centre.
Will You Help Me Find Work?
Once passing your HABC level 2 award in door supervision you will be able to apply for your SIA door supervisors licence.
This qualification will enable you to not only work at licensed venues but also festivals, events as well as a full-time role as a security officer in any retail establishment / environment.
On the last day of the course we will hold interviews.
